I would encourage anyone else in the class of '63 who served in the military and spent any time in Vietnam to make their doctors aware of that fact. My exposure to Agent Orange herbicide which was liberally used as a defoliant by the U.S. military in Vietnam led to my diagnosis of Prostate Cancer late in 2015 and surgery early the following year at the Mayo clinic in Phoenix. The list of presumed diagnoses by the VA related to Agent Orange keeps getting longer, even all these years later, and the disability benefits paid by the VA provide some compensation for loss of one bodily function or another.
