SANDRA JANE JOHNSON, 69 ROCKFORD - Sandra Jane Johnson, 69, of Rockford, departed this world at 5:05 a.m., Thursday, February, 26th, 2015 after an illness. The daughter of Juanita & John L Swanson. She graduated East High School in 1963, and earned her Associate degree at Rock Valley College, class of 1999. Sandra also enjoyed her time working at Bergner's, JC Penny and the Winnebago County Recorder's Office. Sandra's convictions were held as deeply as those she loved and she loved us all absolutely. Survivors include: her husband Lester; brother, Marvin Swanson; her sons, Brett and Fred; grandsons, Odin & TBA. She was predeceased by her sister, Kaye Aase ; and her brothers Jim, Frank, Phil and Steve. We love you Sandy and will miss you brightening up our lives. A celebration of Sandra's life will be held from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., on Sunday, March 1, 2015, at Ken Rock Community Center, 3218 11th St. Rockford, IL. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Ken Rock or to a charity of your choice. A graveside service will be held at Arlington Memorial Cemetery a later date.
