PIERCE-- Marine Pfc. Terry Lee Pierce, 18, 611 South Ave., died Monday, Jan 6, 1964 in San Diego, Calif., Naval Hospital from injuries received in a truck accident Saturday. Born July 3, 1945, in Rockford, son of Mr. and Mrs. Junior N. Pierce. Lived his entire life in Rockford. Entered the U.S. Marine Corps on June 17, 1963. Graduated from East High School on June 6, 1963. Surviors include: his parents, his grandmother, Mrs. Henry Nottleman, Rockford, and several aunts and uncles.
Services at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Jun. 10, in the JULIAN-POORMAN FUNERAL HOME, 304 N. 5th St., with Mr. Fred Vowles (sp?), elder of the Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Friends my call in the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
