Mary Ann Padowan, 76, of Pewaukee, WI passed away on January 16, 2022, at AngelsGrace Hospice Home in Oconomowoc, WI.
Mary Ann was born on August 5, 1945 in Rockford, IL, the daughter of Dominic and Annie (Tarquini) Paluzzi. She was proceeded in death by her parents. Mary Ann is survived by her sister, Antoinette Roos of Pewaukee, WI, two children: Camilla (Scott) Avis of Greensboro, GA and Christopher (Karen) Padowan of Napa, CA; grandchildren Hailey Avis of San Diego, CA, Lars Avis of Peoria, IL, Morgan Avis of Atlanta, GA, and Lucas, Chase and Payton Padowan all of Napa, CA. She also leaves behind many cousins and nephews and nieces in Illinois and Wisconsin.
Mary Ann played the accordion in her youth, receiving awards for competitions and making several recordings on vinyl records. Mary Ann graduated from Rockford East High School in 1963 and attended Black School of Business. She married Jerry Padowan in September 1965. They divorced in 1985. Mary Ann and Jerry bought Linn Lanes in Canton, IL in 1978 and ran the business together until 1985. She also worked at Graham Hospital and Spoon River Ambulance, and received her associates degree from Spoon River College. Mary Ann married Gale DeRenzy December 1987. They divorced in 1996. She started working for Caterpillar in Peoria, IL in 1988 in the accounting department. She retired in 2010.
Mary Ann was a member of the Roman Catholic Church and was active in many church related organizations, throughout her life. She was also active in the Canton Women's Bowling Association. She spent her retirement years spending time with her kids and grandkids, traveling to England, Italy to meet with family who lived there, and Mexico.
Mary Ann will be remembered as a kind and generous person; helping others whenever she could.
