John Manusharow, age 58, passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2004. In John's last weeks with us, no truer form of courage, strong will, and absolute dedication could have been shown. Although cancer ravaged his body for the past three and a half years, whenever anyone asked how he was, the reply was always, “good”. John was born in Germany on September 4, 1945. His family immigrated to the United States when John was 4. They later settled in Rockford, IL. John attended East High School and Northern Illinois University before entering the U.S. Army. He married the love of his life, Bonnie Woodward in 1973. John, Bonnie, and their two sons, Mat and Drew moved to Phoenix, AZ in 1986. He was employed with the Michael Weinig Group as the Southwest Regional Sales Manager until he became ill. His true passion was his family and friends. He enjoyed attending and coaching his sons' soccer and volleyball games. He loved spending weekends entertaining his friends. John is survived by his wife of 31 years, Bonnie; sons, Drew, 22, Mat, 25, and daughter-in-law, Jenny, 24. John is also survived by his parents, Michael and Maria Manusharow, Rockford, IL; his sister, Linda Jones, Batavia, IL; and his brother, Mike Manusharow, Rockford, IL The Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, May 19, 2004 at Mt. View Lutheran Church at 6:30 PM, 11002 S. 48th St., Phoenix, AZ. The family is requesting in lieu of flowers donations may be made to B. Manusharow and sent to Bank One, NA, Attn: Sylvia, Seema, or Stephanie, 4745 E. Elliot, Phoenix, AZ 85044. Ph: (480) 890-6420.
