Sandra L. Lewis, 80, of Rockford, passed away peacefully at Saint Anne Place on August 24, 2025.  Born in Rockford on July 17, 1945, she was the daughter of David and Elaine (Pedersen) Johnson.  She was a graduate of Rockford East High School and married Clayton R. Lewis, on January 20, 1968, at Christ United Methodist Church in Rockford.  Sandi was an avid bowler and golfer and a former member of Mauh-Nah- Tee- See and Bel-Mar Country Clubs where she enjoyed competitive golf.  She and Clayton were lifetime residents of Rockford and founding partners of Rockford Drill Head, Inc.  Sandi enjoyed gardening, crafting, and traveling with Clayton and her family.  She was also an excellent cook, always bringing the favorite dish to the family gathering.

Sandi found great joy in her family.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin, sister and dedicated friend.

She is survived by her daughters, Nicki (Jeff) Deschaine of Rockford, and Deborah Lewis of Rockford; grandchildren, Lindsey Long and Evan Long of Cleveland, TN; brother, David Johnson of Edgewater, FL; sisters, Kris Gates of Rockford, Kim (Bill) Butler of Oviedo, FL and Lori Constantin of Santa Rosa, CA; and son-in-law, Rusty Long of Clevland, TN.  She is predeceased by her parents; her husband, Clayton; her daughter, Tricia; and great-grandson, Carter.

Memorial Services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at Fred C.
