KAREN L. DUNPHEY, 70  LOVES PARK — Karen L. Dunphey, 70, of Loves Park died Tuesday, June 16, 2015, in her home.  Karen (Anderson )Dunphey.She graduated from EastHigh School, College of St.Mary’s in Nebraska, and University of Arkansas witha Master’s. Karen was acertified vision rehab therapistat Savannah Association Blind Inc. in Savannah,Georgia, for 22 years. She was an active member at Northeast Christian Church and Seniors on the Go. Having cats throughout her adult life was a great joy and companionship for her.Karen’s hobbies were knitting,reading, cooking, walking and tai chi. She had a beautiful smile and will be remembered as a kind, giving and a gentle person to those who knew her, especially her clients and friends. Survivors includeher mother, Lucille Dunphey;brother, Richard(Linda) Dunphey; niece,Melissa (Jason) Lawrence;nephew, Craig (Becca)Dunphey; great-nieces, Alison,Amanda, Adalyn andElsa. Predeceased by her father.Memorial service at 11a.m. Tuesday, June 23, in Northeast Christian Church,5651 E. Riverside Blvd.,Rockford with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time.Cremation rites were accorded.Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home,Ltd., Loves Park.
