Judy Weinkopf (Lewis)

JUDY K LEWIS, 69 ROCK FALLS - Judy K. Lewis, 69, of Rock Falls, IL, passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2015, in Sauk Valley Senior Living & Rehab Center. Born October 27, 1945, in Rockford; the daughter of Herbert and June (Lauterbach) Weinkauf. Judy was confirmed at Redeemer Lutheran Church and graduated from East High School in 1963. Judy was a strong and spirited person who lived with a mental illness all her adult life. Her children and grandchildren were very close to her heart. She is survived by her children, Tammy Lewis, Steve (Melissa) Lewis of Rockford; grandchildren, Jennifer Howe of Portland, OR, and Kelly and Kristin Lewis of Rockford; sister, Karen Okerlund (Gerald Whisenand) of South Beloit; brother, Gary (Kathy Cope) Weinkauf of Beloit; and several nieces and nephews. Family to hold a private memorial service with burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
