Connie Lou, you are gone too soon. We knew each other since before I was born.  We lived in the same house as infants, we went to Kindergarten together, and Confirmation at First Free, and graduated from East High School together. Judy was also a key player in our escapades.  We ice-skated, went to rec nights and football games, had sleep-overs, talked about boys, and celebrated birthdays together.  We were ‘the Three Musketeers.’  There are SO MANY pictures of the three of us together!  Then there was a long period when we didn’t see much of each other.  Our lives took different paths.  We resumed our close connections in later years.  Connie, Judy and I celebrated a few milestone birthdays together in Galena and at Lake Geneva.  We played golf together, went on shopping trips to Chicago, and spent many Christmas Days together at our house. Connie worked as a proficient executive secretary at several Rockford businesses including Sundstrand, Cherryvale Mall, and Associated Bank.  Connie never met a stranger.  She knew EVERYONE and smiled at everyone!  She was always willing to help anyone in need.  When Connie needed help, I was there for her, and when I needed help, she was there for me.  And then dementia came along.  What an ugly disease!

Connie, I know there must be a beautiful golf course in heaven.  And you are enjoying a round.  Hit ‘em long and straight.  And no, you don’t have to wear shoes or keep score!  Love you and miss you.   BJP

Thank you, Britta.

Many fun times together, knowing the whole family and how she mothered them.

Connie came from a great golfing family, taught by wonderful golfers, George and Verna.

We will look forward to the Elebration of Life and catching up with the rest of the family.

God Bless.  We will miss you.
