Obituary

On August 22, 2011 Linda Frances Carlson passed away in Los Angeles, CA after a courageous battle with cancer. Born Linda Frances Carroll on July 7, 1945 in Racine, Wisconsin, she graduated from East Rockford High School, and completed her education at the University of Illinois. After college, Linda spent many years in both Wisconsin and the Chicago area before moving to Southern California in the 1980's.

Linda enjoyed golf, country music, cooking and entertaining, biking, soccer, charity work and, most of all, spending quality time with her family and friends. During Linda's accomplished career in sales in the communication industry, she held a variety of executive positions at leading companies such as Nixdorf, Micom and ACT Networks. She was a remarkable woman who loved all that life had to offer. Linda's charisma, sweet smile, laugh and kind spirit brightened the lives of those that knew her.

Linda was preceded in death by her father, Robert Carroll and her husband, John Tucker. Linda is survived by her sons, Richard Carlson (Jennifer) and David Carlson (Susan), daughters Brook Klein (Scott) and Cami Wolff, mother Lisbeth Carroll, sister Laura Carroll, and seven wonderful grandchildren; Samuel, Henry, Gwyneth and Julia Carlson, Dylan (Ivee) and Marina Wolff and Gabriel Klein.

A special thanks to Dr. Ashouri and his staff at UCLA Cancer Center of Westlake Village and the superb staff at Cedars-Sinai Hospital. A heartfelt "thank you" to Linda's extraordinary friends Kim Paul and Sherri Willard, and the amazing Spanish Hills Ladies Club for all their exceptional support as well.
